Smoking Cessation

Oldham County Health Department offers classes that can help you stop smoking. The classes use the ‘Freedom from Smoking’ method, a 13-week course that meets one hour per week and uses nicotine replacement products and group support. This highly successful program is science based utilizing proven methods, which include education, skills training and social support.

The class no longer meets on a regular schedule. To request information or schedule a class, email ElizabethF.Burrows@ky.gov or call 502-222-3516, ext. 143. Classes are free, are held at the Oldham County Health Department, and offer nicotine replacement products free of charge.

*Classes are taught by a health educator trained by Drs. Cooper and Clayton.
