Well-Child Exams

Early childhood screenings help children live longer, healthier lives. The Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment program, or EPSDT, is designed to make sure that a Medicaid eligible child is screened for a wide range of medical conditions. EPSDT services provide a comprehensive look at the child including physical, mental and social issues. The EPSDT program makes sure that all children receive the treatment they need to improve/maintain their health. Well-Child Exam

The Well Child examination is similar to a School Physical but is more in depth. These exams usually start at age 2 months, continue at 4 and 6 months, 9 months, then at 1 year old. The exams continue at 15 and 18 months, again at age 2 years and then annually after that.

School Physical

Children entering Kindergarten, 6th grade, or who are new to the Oldham County School system, are required to have a School Physical. Our School Physical, done by experienced, certified nurses, includes a review of immunizations and updates as needed. A medical history is completed and a thorough physical examination performed. Age-appropriate anticipatory guidance is offered to the parent or guardian so that they can be aware of the health issues facing their child. Health education is our specialty!
